THIRD AGE - STRATEGY

Third Age is one of the leading ageing support organisations in the Republic of Ireland. Third Age had grown quickly to 18 staff and 800 members, and encompassed many projects and programmes. Third Age approached Synthesis Consulting to deliver a new corporate strategy for them. Synthesis sought to partner with McGarry Consulting based on our facilitation skills and familiarity with the sector.

McGarry Consulting initially helped with governance and then building on that ‘diagnosis’, we worked with the team to develop a clear and coherent strategy for the next four years. This helped to redefine how the organisation operated, what programmes it should prioritise and building on its unique core strengths.

Third Age are one of the leading pioneers in the older people's sector. They have set up many nationally recognised projects such as Seniorline, Fáilte Isteach and Men's Shed, as well as various support and advisory programmes.
