The John Hewitt Society asked McGarry Consulting to undertake an organisational review and develop a 3-year development strategy. This involved speaking with staff and board members individually, as well as key parties (e.g. Arts Council). A 3hr strategy session was held on a Sat morning to highlight findings and prioritise aims and actions moving forward. This led to a new executive structure and more staff, and was widely considered a success.

The Society asked McGarry Consulting to come in and provide a follow up to the initial strategy to keep momentum. The John Hewitt Society is named after the famous Belfast Poet. They run a popular annual summer school in Armagh and are considered the foremost literary society/arts organisation in NI.
