oRCHARDVILLE SOCIETY - ESF FUNDING 2014 & 2017
The Orchardville Society provides a variety of employment and support services to people with a learning disability in South & East Belfast. Orchardville received most of their funding from the European Social Fund (ESF) and Department of Employment & Learning (DEL) sought assistance with their £2.4m EU funding application. This was the first time they had brought in consultants to help them, and they chose McGarry Consulting based on our experience of funding and knowledge of disability/inclusion.

McGarry Consulting led them in this process, which resulted in them scoring 179/180 and ranking #1 in NI. We also addressed queries to ensure maximum funds were obtained and that the project/application was not delayed. This was crucial to avoid queries delaying the project from being assessed alongside other applications; and ensure staff could be retained.
The guidance, support and systems provided by MGC helped Orchardville go on to win more EU funding. McGarry Consulting were asked back in 2017 to help review their subsequent 4-year EU funding application.
