Southern Regional College (SRC) developed a pilot programme to promote migrant community integration by improving their English language skills. A 2-day Open College Network (OCN) Level 2 course, “Providing language support for non-English speakers”, was designed and delivered to 110 participants over a 2 year period.
The course worked on a ‘train the trainer’ type principle and was one of the first of its kind in NI. McGarry Consulting performed an extensive evaluation of all course material and monitoring reports within a tight timeframe and budget.
