CONSULTATION: RURAL COMMUNITY AUDIT

DROMBOUGHIL COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION - ONLINE SURVEY/AUDIT

McGarry Consulting conducted the first ever online community survey needs audit in Limavady. We worked closely with Dromboughil Community Association (DCA) and Limavady Borough Council to establish the survey, define questions and overall tone of the survey (ie to make it informal and community based).

We also worked with local volunteers to ensure promotion and accessibility of the survey. Cautious that not everyone would be familiar with an online survey, we printed hard copies and arranged for distribution and collection points. These hard copies were then in-putted manually and anonymously to the online survey tool. Prizes were used to help encourage participant numbers.

During the consultation process, McGarry Consulting showed DCA volunteers how to set-up, promote and analyse a survey; and how to record trends over time. This ensured that the community not only had the audit but the skills and capacity to conduct future work themselves without needing consultants.
