POTENTIAL NEW INNOVATION HUB

McGarry Consulting are conducting a business case into a potential new innovation hub in Coleraine, on behalf of Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council. The Hub would be on the Atlantic Link site (below), close to the Ulster University campus and have access to super fast broadband via project Kelvin. The ‘hub’ is one of six strategic projects under the proposed ‘Causeway Coast & Glens Growth Deal’; and would be aimed at innovators and University spin-out companies (e.g. life sciences, bio-medical, agri-food) and graduates. The business case will help determine if there is a need for the hub, what format it may take, how it could be funded/delivered; as well as considering the possibility of an enterprise academy (similar to Belfast Enterprise Academy) .
